Will               they               get               to               the               finals?
I               don't               think               so,               I               believe               having               to               travel               up               to               Detroit,               Michigan               for               the               second               week               with               possible               teams               like               Villanova,               G'Town,               and               Wisconsin               as               possible               teams               to               play               while               there,               home               court               advantage               is               definitely               not               in               their               favor               like               UNC               who               plays               in               Raleigh               and               Charlotte               all               the               way               to               the               final               four.

So               in               their               minds               it               will               be               a               disappointment               if               they               don't               win               it               all               I'm               sure,               but               in               my               mind               once               the               Sweet               16               games               come               in,               its               anyones               game               this               year.
Jake:               It               depends               on               what               you               want               to               classify               as               "for               real".

Are               they               going               to               win               the               entire               NCAA               Tournament?

No.

Are               they               making               it               to               the               Final               Four?

No,               I               don't               think               so.

But               if               making               it               to               the               Elite               8               is               "for               real",               than               absolutely               they               are.

They               won't               even               have               a               game               until               the               Sweet               Sixteen,               and               even               then               I               expect               them               to               get               by               their               opponent,               who               I               feel               will               be               Clemson.
Brian:               I               guess               this               depends               on               what               would               qualify               as               a               disappointment.

No               team               coached               by               Bill               Self               has               ever               advanced               to               a               Final               Four.

Is               it               a               disappointment               if               they               lose               in               the               Elite               Eight?

Because               they               might               be               able               to               get               by               Clemson               but               I               don't               see               them               getting               past               Georgetown.
Nick:               I               think               they're               for               real,               they               just               seem               to               missing               that               special               ingredient               needed               to               go               all               the               way               again.

Bill               Self               is               a               good               coach               but               his               teams               have               underachieved               a               bit               in               the               tournament.

Then               again               people               thought               the               same               of               Lute               Olsen               and               he               eventually               got               over               the               hump.

The               Jayhawks'               problems               are               the               same               ones               that               have               plagued               Duke               in               recent               years:               a               lack               of               inside               depth               and               the               lack               of               a               true               star               to               get               the               ball               to               in               the               clutch.
I'm               the               only               person               on               this               planet               that               believes               Portland               State               will               give               Kansas               a               game.

Just               putting               it               out               there.

Now,               as               for               this               question,               it               appears               that               we're               all               in               agreement               that               the               Jayhawks               will               not               be               playing               in               San               Antonio               this               year.

Michael:               I               really               think               UCLA               will               be               the               first               one               out.

It               will               definitely               be               interesting.
One               more               note,               don't               look               past               a               team               like               Pitt               taking               down               Memphis               either.

UNC               has               the               toughest               road,               but               they               are               also               the               best               team.

I               see               Kansas               falling               in               the               Elite               8               to               Georgetown,               although               Clemson               could               get               things               together               and               get               Kansas               out               in               the               Sweet               Sixteen.

Memphis               will               also               go               down               in               the               Elite               8,               to               Stanford.
               Brian:               Memphis               or               Kansas?
